Tulsa Housing Authority Waives May Rent

The Tulsa Housing Authority is waiving rent for May for tenants of their properties.

The housing authority also waived April rent and March late fees.

"Our residents include some of Tulsa’s most vulnerable, and as is often the case, they are disproportionately impacted by challenging times like the ones we’re facing," THA President and CEO Aaron Darden said in a statement. "Our hope is that through waiving rent for the months of April and May our residents are able to funnel their financial resources to other pressing needs."

People receiving rental assistance are not covered by the waiver, only tenants of properties owned by the housing authority.

Common areas of housing authority properties will remain closed through April to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
