On the Forthcoming Broadcast of ATJ, We'll Hear Jazz Takes on Bob Dylan's Tunes
Tune in for the next broadcast of All This Jazz, beginning at 9pm on Saturday the 5th, right here on Public Radio 89.5 KWGS-FM...and online by way of live stream at PublicRadioTulsa.org. Our program delivers three hours of modern jazz -- across a range of styles -- each and every Saturday night, from 9 o'clock till midnight. (We also offer a 7pm re-airing of ATJ on Sunday evenings, on Jazz 89.5-2, which is Public Radio Tulsa's all-jazz HD Radio channel.)
From Benny Goodman to Benny Carter, Geri Allen to Gerry Mulligan, and Dave Brubeck to Dave Douglas, All This Jazz is delighted by modern (and post-modern!) jazz in its many various forms, and we dig sharing the same with our listeners. If jazz is your thing, even in the slightest, do give us a listen.
Also, in the theme-driven, 11-to-midnight hour of our next program -- following the very exciting news that, thanks to the good graces and generous endeavors of both the George Kaiser Family Foundation and the University of Tulsa, the City of Tulsa will soon be the home of the Bob Dylan Archives -- our theme will be Jazz Takes on Bob Dylan's Tunes. Thus we'll spin great tracks from the likes of Nina Simone, Charles Lloyd, Keith Jarrett, and others, all of them memorably interpreting the vast and one-of-a-kind songbook of Mr. Robert Zimmerman.
Elsewhere in our show, we'll hear from Kenny Dorham, Carlos Henriquez, James Moody, Aaron Goldberg, and more. Join us!
