Tulsa, Oklahoma – On StudioTulsa today, we present a detailed discussion with Dr. Karen York, curator at the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art in Tulsa. The museum is currently running a special exhibit (through January 25, 2010) that spotlights some of its recent acquisitions, including works by Marc Chagall and Salvador Dali. As Dr. York explains to our host Rich Fisher, the Sherwin Miller prides itself on having the largest collection of Judaica in the American Southwest, and the museum is also well known for its vast holdings related to Holocaust scholarship. More recently, the museum has been strengthening its fine art collection --- and this is where the current show, devoted to outstanding recently acquired pieces, comes in. (For more information, you can visit jewishmuseum.net. The museum is located at 2021 East 71st Street.)
