Tulsa, Oklahoma – On this edition of our program, we chat with Jennifer Alden and Valeria Cordero, the two artistic directors of Portico Dans Theatre, an adventuresome Tulsa-based dance collective that's been active for about two years now. On July 15th, 16th, and 17th, as part of the Tulsa PAC's SummerStage festival, Portico will present a new work entitled "Super Suite." As we hear on ST today, this family-friendly piece will combine dancing, music, animation, and live-action performance in a story that has super-heroes and super-villains doing battle in a brightly colored, comic-book-inspired, 1940s-era re-imagining of the City of Tulsa. (For more about this show, including show times, ticket availability, and other info, please go to http://tulsapac.com/calendar.asp?id=1821&task=display&thedate=7/12/2011.) Also on today's show, a vivid and fragrant commentary from Connie Cronley: "Green Bouquets."
