"Tapestries of Jon Eric Riis" at the New 108 Contemporary Gallery in Downtown Tulsa

On this installment of our program, we speak by phone with the internationally known contemporary fiber artist, Jon Eric Riis, whose tapestry works can be found in private collections as well as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Cleveland Museum of Art, The New York Museum of Art and Design, The Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Museum of Art, and elsewhere. "Tapestries of Jon Eric Riis" is a new exhibit --- in fact, it's the very first exhibit --- at the newly created 108 Contemporary gallery in downtown Tulsa (formerly known as the Brady Craft Alliance, and located in the renovated Mathews Building at 108 East Brady). There will be an Opening Gala tonight, Friday the 1st, at 6pm at 108 Contemporary --- a celebration of this attractive new art space as well as its inaugural exhibition of the work of Jon Eric Riis, which will be on view through April 21st. (You can learn more about the 108 Contemporary space here, and more about the Riis show in particular at this link.)
