NeWSolutions Gears Up

City of Tulsa
Tulsa's trash cart sizes

Trash carts are arriving in Tulsa.

Why is that news?

It is the carts for Tulsa’s new trash service that is to begin on October first. The company, NeWSolutions, received about 5,000 of the large 96-Gallon carts on Friday. More carts are expected in the coming days. This is the first step in completing Tulsa’s trash transition from TRI to NeWSolutions.

NeWSolutions took over three months earlier, without all the needed equipment, when TRI declined to sign a contract extending the service for three summer months. The Tulsa Trash Board says it had a verbal agreement from TRI, but a contract was never signed.

NeWSolutions will hold an open house on Wednesday to show off the new carts.
