A local nonprofit is hosting an evening clinic on Friday to make vaccines more accessible in the Kendall Whittier neighborhood.

Executive Director of Kendall Whittier Main Street Jessica Jackson Seay said she hopes the clinic will make getting shots easier for those who’ve faced barriers.

"We're making sure we have a lot bilingual volunteers there so if we have anyone who is predominatly Spanish speaking they can communicate. When we're talking about your health we want to make sure you completely understand," said Seay.

The clinic will be held at St. Francis Xavier Parish, Our Lady of Guadalupe Activity Center from 3 to 7 p.m. A follow-up clinic will be held during the same hours on May 14.
