Notes on the Newly Opened Woody Guthrie Center in Downtown Tulsa

"The Woody Guthrie Center is dedicated to celebrating Woody's life and legacy and educating a new generation about his important role in American history," as we read on the Center's website. This engaging, attractive, and well-organized facility just opened here in Tulsa at 102 East Brady a couple of months ago;  our guest on this edition of ST is Deana McCloud, the Executive Director of the Woody Guthrie Center, who brings us up to speed on what this space has to offer --- from the great troubadour's vast archives, notebooks, drawings, and sketches, to educational programs, on-site concerts, rotating as well as permanent exhibits, and more. Also on today's ST, our commentator Barry Friedman offers a commentary-as-travelogue piece entitled "A Daughter Goes to Oregon, Part 1."
