At the TCFR: "Forging a New Model for U.S. Engagement in the Middle East"

iran-iraq-map.jpg
Aired on Thursday, May 27th.

Our guest is Ambassador Richard LeBaron, who retired from the U.S. diplomatic service in April 2012 after a 33-year career. In his final position at the U.S. Department of State, LeBaron was the founding Coordinator of the Center for Strategic Counterterrorism Communications. Currently, he is a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council in Washington. He recently gave an address at the Tulsa Committee on Foreign Relations -- the first in-person event the TCFR has presented in over a year (due to the pandemic). That address, which LeBaron tells us about, was on "Forging a New Model for U.S. Engagement in the Middle East."
