Our guest is Dr. Jennifer Ragsdale, Associate Professor of Psychology, who discusses her research on how people deal with work stress. She describes what causes stress at work, including information overload, the fight-or-flight reaction, and a culture of overwork. Dr. Ragdale's research explores the notion of work-life balance, identifies activities that help us disengage from work, and considers how technologies like cellphones can make stress recovery more difficult.

On this edition of StudioTulsa, we offer Episode 2 of Season 2 of Museum Confidential, the podcast co-created by Jeff Martin of Philbrook Museum of Art and our own Scott Gregory. This episode contains an in-depth chat with Alexis Light, the Senior Manager of Media Relations and Marketing at The Frick Collection. She is that NYC museum's thought leader when it comes to public relations, marketing, and social media content.

The University of Tulsa

Our guest is Dr. Gabriel LeBlanc, the Wellspring Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at TU. He tells us, among other things, how undergraduate chemistry lab classes lured him away from soccer, how 3D printing makes expensive lab equipment easily affordable, and how his research team applies electrochemistry to biomaterials in order to help understand diseases like Parkinson's.

On this edition of ST, with the long-running,multifaceted, and decidedly unorthodox "Museum Confidential" exhibit about to close (on Sunday the 6th) at Philbrook Museum of Art, we present another installment in the Museum Confidential Podcast series. Co-created by Jeff Martin of Philbrook and our own Scott Gregory, this podcast has been posting twice-monthly since the exhibition opened at the museum back in October.

On this edition of StudioTulsa, we offer a recently posted edition of the Museum Confidential podcast, which is co-created every other week by Jeff Martin (of Philbrook Museum) and Scott Gregory (of Public Radio Tulsa; Scott is also StudioTulsa's longtime editor and producer). On this particular podcast, we explore the bookish side of museum-going in a revealing conversation with the NYC-based poet Kenneth Goldsmith, who in 2013 was the first and only Poet Laureate at the Museum of Modern Art.

On this edition of StudioTulsa, we are pleased to present the first episode of Museum Confidential: The Podcast, a bi-weekly endeavor which Public Radio Tulsa has been co-creating with Philbrook Musueum of Art since mid-October. Hosted by Jeff Martin of Philbrook and edited and produced by our own Scott Gregory, this podcast is an extension of the popular "Museum Confidential" exhibit now on view at Philbrook, which will run through early May of 2018. Both the podcast and the exhibit, as we learn today, explore in various ways what goes on "behind the scenes" at a given museum.

The Art of the Playlist

Nov 21, 2017

Sweetness! It's an extended and ever-so-tuneful edition of our podcast for the extended holiday weekend. Listen in as Jeff Martin (of Philbrook Museum) and Scott Gregory (of Public Radio Tulsa) dig various songs and/or bands inspired by art and/or artists and/or museums and/or The Muse. Sonic bliss? Odd audio? Both? Neither? It's in the ear of the beholder, friends.
