"Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners: 50 Meditations to Practice Awareness, Acceptance, and Peace"

Aired on Monday, November 30th.

Our guest on ST Medical Monday is Dawn Mauricio, who's been practicing and studying vipassan? meditation since 2005, and who now works as a meditation retreat teacher. (You'll find her online at dawnmauricio.com.) She joins us to discuss her new book, "Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners: 50 Meditations to Practice Awareness, Acceptance, and Peace." As was noted of this book by Jack Kornfield, the author of "A Path with Heart": "[This is] an elegantly simple, wise, and practical approach to mindfulness. In troubled times, these practices are enormously valuable -- they help steady the heart, heal the body, and calm the mind."

Rich Fisher is celebrating his 40th year of service to Public Radio Tulsa. Since 2000, he has been the general manager of Public Radio Tulsa, and previously served as the host of the public affairs program, StudioTulsa, which ran from 1992-2021. Prior to that, he served as music director, a program host and operations director for the station.
